Fred W. Sarchet

Fred W. Sarchet, 86, of Greeley, Colorado passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2026. Fred was born in Denver to Melvel and Bernice Sarchet and grew up on the family farm near Ft. Lupton. Fred graduated from Keenesburg High School. In 1961, he married Dorothy Wange. Fred earned an Associate Degree from AIMS Community College.

Fred farmed near Fort Lupton where he and Dot raised two sons, Mike and Doug. Fred loved hunting, fishing, hiking, and especially target shooting and reloading. Fred was a family man. When his sons were in 4-H, Fred served as the leader of the leader of the Hudson Shamrock 4-H club. Fred faithfully attended band concerts, school plays, and sporting events to support his boys.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Jean Devenney, his brother William (Bill), and Dot, his wife of 52 years.

He is survived by his sons Mike (Bev), and Doug (Sharon); grandchildren Aurora, Nathan (Sophia), Jonathan (Emma), Jeremy, and Bryan (Trinity); and great grandchildren Freddy, and Theodore.

A memorial service will be held on October 17, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Fourway Baptist Church in Ft. Lupton, CO.
