I had the pleasure of working with Gary for 3 wonderful years.  He was a dynamite teacher and helped me a great deal along the way.  Goodbye Gary, your light will be missed!

Dear Gary,

Since May of 2012 I have had the pleasure of getting to know you as my business partner at RezStream.  During the last year we had many long conversations, often late at night, when we both had finished our ??oday-time??? work and turned to detailed accounting work and quite business planning.  Although you were in Estes and I was in Denver we had a strong connection, respect and appreciation for each other.  I will miss our conversations and your sound advice.

Beyond business matters we were also becoming friends.  We shared both laughs and worries, especially during the last 4 weeks during our visits at the hospital.  I think your strong spirit and excellent sense of humor allowed you to manage your health and hospital stay with incredible grace.  Your compassion and gentle humanity will be missed by all those who loved you and enjoyed your company.  Thank you for being a great friend and contributor to my life.  I will cherish that forever.

Even though I knew about Gary's health challenges over the past years, it was still with great sadness to hear of his passing. I was shocked after receiving the news from Bill last Friday. People mention Gary's smile. It's true. Visiting with Gary in Estes years back and dealing with him through my work at RezStream, Gary was always helpful, responsive, and friendly. I will miss Gary and his ever-pleasant nature. What a loss to all of us who were touched by him. My sincerest condolences go out to Bill and the rest of the Mitchell family.

Gary took the time to help me with my computerized cash register several times when my tenants vacated and I was thrown back into running my retail store one summer. I took him to dinner several times as a thank you for his knowledge and kindness.  Years ago, I played golf with Gary and Ray which was so much fun!  He always had a nice comment or made me laugh!  I feel lucky to have known him!

I was so sad to hear about Gary passing. I worked for Gary about 12-14 years ago. He was more than just a boss, he was a great friend. I learned so much from Gary. When he hired me I had little experience in business and computers and he really took me under his wing. He was always so patient and kind when he was teaching me how to do anything from ordering items for the gas station to entering payroll or invoices at the ice house. The time that I spent with Gary was special because he was so special. Gary was such a great guy who was so generous, sweet and so much fun to be around. My heart is so sad for his family because I know how close he was with them and how much they meant to him, I am so sorry for your loss. Gary and the Mitchell Family are in my prayers.
