When I was little, Gary was a cousin who treated me as a friend instead of annoying little kid who visited them at their house. When I was first married, Gary was my insurance agent who I could trust to give me the best deal possible. And later in life, Gary was a Facebook buddy, a Greeley fountain of knowledge, and a caring relative who liked to come out and visit and wanted to help Lenn beat his cancer. When he found out Lenn had the cancer, he looked at me during one of his visits to my farm and said, "We can't lose him". Well, we didn't lose Lenn to cancer, but we did lose Gary, something none of thought would happen at the time - what a shock! To Lenn and me, it is a deep sorrow that somehow we have to accept, but it isn't easy. Thank you, Gary, for all the times you've been there for us. - Randy

It was really nice to reconnect with Gary at Sundance after many years of not seeing him. We shared a love of horses and country western dancing and many fun evenings there and at dinner at our house. We will miss him, but cherish those memories and thank God for the time we got to share with him.

I had the opportunity to get acquainted with Gary when his kids were very young & then when I came to work at State Farm. He always had a smile whenever you saw him. He had many friends & will be missed by all. My deepest sympathies to the family.

I'm so sorry we didn't have more time together. You were funny, sweet and always made me feel at ease. You comforted me at mom's funeral, held my hand and handed me tissues. We've laughed together, cried together and shared memories together. I so enjoyed getting to know you again after so many years of being estranged. I will miss you more then you will ever know. I bet your mom and dad were there to meet you with open arms and say "welcome home son, too soon, but we sure missed you". Your mom would be there to greet you with that big smile and melodic laugh of hers. Love you Gary! Gone way too soon.

Dear Gary,
We have shared so much the last 68 years. I will miss you so much and I will also miss your beautiful singing voice. Although my heart is breaking, I am happy that you are no longer sick and in pain. I know that you are being rocked in the loving arms of Jesus who you loved so much. You are also very loved by all of us who were proud to be part of your family! I was blessed to be your cousin and honored to be your friend!

My love will always be with you,

My dad was the best Dad in the world. And I'm thankful for the time I had to get to know him. And to be able to create a relationship no one can take away.
