George graduated from Aurora Central High School in 1967 and the University of Colorado in 1971. He was a member of the CU Golf Team from 1969 – 1970.
George was a member of the Colorado Section of the PGA. He was a Golf Professional at Heather Ridge Country Club in Aurora and Head Professional at Spreading Antlers Golf Course in Lamar. He was a member of the Greeley Country Club and also worked at Nor-Colo Anheuser-Busch Distributor, Startek and RPM Technology.
George is survived by his mother, Mary Lawrence and brother Tom Lawrence both of Denver.
