She was born April 25, 1931 to George and Emma Tunnell in Milliken, Colorado where she was also raised. Georgia attended Pleasant Valley School and then Greeley High School, graduating in 1949. Throughout her life, she worked as a Weld County Assessor and retired in 1994. Georgia married James Hoffner in May of 1953 until they divorced in 1980.
Georgia was a member of St. Paul's Congregational Church and involved with the 49'rs Breakfast Club. She loved to travel whenever she could and had a passion for painting and antiquing.
Georgia is survived by her daughter, Denna Sue (Jeff) Lewis; sons; Rodney Hoffner, and Glen (Lori) Hoffner; and her 4 grandchildren, Andrea Lewis of Berthoud, CO, Matthew and Claire Hoffner of Patterson, NY, and Jordan Lewis of Firestone, CO.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Emma.

A Memorial Service for Georgia will be held on Tuesday, May 14th at 10:00 a.m. at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
