

Gilberto served as the Mayor in Madera City, Chihuahua, Mexico. While in Mexico, he would hunt for treasure, traveling the mountains looking for it. He also was a miner and did gold panning.
Gilberto married Guadalupe Hernandez Ramirez. They were married for 50 years, before her passing in 2011.
Gilberto was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. He loved Mexican music and tequila. He also loved playing jokes on his family.
Gilberto was a great dad and grandfather. He always cared for people and liked to help them.
Gilberto is survived by his children, Gilberto Garcia, Javier Garcia (Gabriella), Jose Luis Garcia (Leonor), Mario Gutierrez (Blanca), Sandra Saldivar, Angelica Gutierrez, Martin Garcia (Patricia), Jose Garcia (Catalina) and Carmen Doudna (Robert); 26 grandkids, Patricio Garcia, Francisco Garcia, Paloma Garcia, Josue Garcia, Jesus Bencomo, Alastair Bencomo, Angelica Gutierrez, Trent Doudna, Dylan Doudna, Ashley Garcia, Andrew Garcia, Susana Garcia, Gilbert Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Michelle Garcia, Javier Garcia, Jr., Rene Garcia, Jose Luis Garcia, Jr., Vanessa Garcia, Leonor Garcia, Mario Gutierrez, Royce Gutierrez, Christian Gutierrez, Alex Gutierrez, Manuel Saldivar and Maurice Saldivar and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandkids, Javier Gutierrez and Brenda Saldivar, daughter, Adriana Garcia, his parents, wife and his brother and sister.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023 with a Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023 both at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 West 28th Street, Greeley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2023 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1311 3rd Street, Greeley. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
