

Gladys P. Mowery, 93, of Evans, died April 4, 2014 at Ashley Manor. Gladys was born August 14, 1920 in Hoxie, Kansas to Francis Eugene and Ola Leota (Edgington) Petty. She graduated from Flagler High School.
Gladys married Evert Mowery on July 8, 1943 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Eastlake, Colorado where she was involved in the Ladies Club and Sunday school. Gladys lived in Eastlake until moving to the Kersey area in 1984. She was a resident of Ashley Manor (formerly Bee Hive Homes) for the past 7 years.
Gladys is survived by her sons Hugh (Marsha) Mowery of Ft. Collins, Larry (Suzanne) Mowery of Ft. Collins and Raymond (Jamie) Mowery of Pierce; two sisters Virdia Reggear of Orofino, Idaho and Minnie Beck of Tulsa, Oklahoma; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Evert in 1996; sister and brother-in-law Irma (Petty) and Earl Mowery; one brother John Petty; a nephew Earl Mowery Jr. and two daughters-in-law Sydney and Sue.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 – 9:45 a.m., followed by funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 11 both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m., at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, 19600 East Smith Road, Aurora, Colorado.
Memorial contributions may be made in Gladys’ name to a charity of your choice.
