Glenn Einspahr, 53, was called to his heavenly home on May 31, 2016, embraced by family at North Suburban Medical Center in Thornton. He was born in Greeley on August 5, 1962 to Virtus and JoAnne (Rubel) Einspahr. He was a graduate of Greeley West High School (1980) and earned an Associate’s Degree in Electronics at Aims Community College (1982). His professional career in Information Technology spanned over 25 years. He worked as a Systems Administrator for EDS, and performed contract work for IBM, Kaiser Permanente, and Artech Information Systems.
Glenn grew up in Greeley with close family ties to aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents – many continue to reside in the local area today. Glenn moved to southern California in his mid-twenties. There he lived with a close cousin, Dan Einspahr, and together they pursued their passion for music performing in a band in their leisure time. In 1997, Glenn returned to Colorado and lived in the Denver metro area the remainder of his adult life.
Glenn was a selfless, generous man who treasured the simple things in life. He was a life-long Bronco fan and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Camping in the Colorado and Wyoming Rocky Mountains was a favorite escape for recreation and camaraderie with his closest friends. Glenn’s laughter was contagious, and his loyalty to family, friends, and colleagues was beyond compare. He was especially close to nephew, Mitchell Hamman, who was like a son to him. Glenn left us far too soon, but his kind heart and gentle soul will never be forgotten.
Glenn is survived by his father, Virtus Einspahr; stepmother, Joyce Einspahr; sisters, Nancy Einspahr of Greeley and Arlene (Einspahr) Pringle of Carlsbad, CA; nephews, Mitchell Hamman of Thornton and Sean Pringle of Carlsbad, CA. He was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnne Einspahr.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Lutheran Hour Ministries in care of Stoddard Funeral Home.
