Grant James Wagner passed away at the age of 25 on April 10th, 2019 of heart failure. He was born to Laura Ann (Shipman) and Stuart Wagner on August 22nd, 1993 in Aurora, Colorado. He graduated from Regis Jesuit High School in May of 2012 and the University of Northern Colorado in May of 2017. He was attending American University in Washington DC, working toward his master’s degree in Data Science.
Grant was a childhood cancer survivor, a lifelong Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos fan. His other passions included movies, warm weather, and his beloved golden retrievers Copper, Aspen, Sadie, and Bodhi. Grant’s most cherished memories were visiting every Major League Baseball stadium with his dad and going on family vacations. He also loved spending time with his beloved niece, Reagan.
In addition to his father, Stuart J. Wagner, his mother Laura Wagner and Mark Bennett, Grant is survived by his sister Torre and niece Reagan, his brother Jake and his grandmothers Claire and Gerri. He is also survived by an extended family including 10 aunts, 8 uncles, 29 cousins, 16 extended cousins, and an endless amount of people touched by his life.
Visitation will be held at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 West 28th St., Greeley, Colorado 80634. Tuesday, 5-8PM, Wednesday 12-12:45 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 17th at 1:00pm at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Windsor, Colorado 80550.
