We went to Parkway School and you had myself and Diane Kuehne over to your house a few times.  Your father was my anesthesiologist when I was in grade school. I was saddened to here about the passing of Greg. He was my boy scout master in Woodsboro Md. back in the mid 80's. He was a great person leader, and friend. He will be greatly missed and my thoughts and prayers go out to the family!

My heart is with all of you. It's been over 30 years since I talked with Greg, but he'll live forever in my heart as one of the 10-speed ""gang"" in our neighborhood (along with you, Tom), then my long-haired, music-loving, kind, funny friend through our teen years. He was the drummer in the Cats Three, comprised of Kenny Fink, Neil Rose, Greg, and me. We didn't count so well, or play music so well for that matter, but we shared a lot of laughs. Though I never knew Greg as the man he became, there's no doubt he continued to be the genuinely warm, bright, perceptive person I knew years ago. In this life, the Harps, the Fruths, and the Powells are all connected and I'm grieving with you at the loss of Greg. Please accept my deepest sympathies. Greg touched many people.

Dear Debbie,
I am so so sad that Greg is no longer with you and us. I feel so privileged to have had a few years of his precious time - what an amazing, warm creature a Greg is. His love for critters and people alike, his core values of service and kindness, his great humor and his mismatched Crocs have remained a part of my life. I didn't see him the last couple years - too busy, wrong city, that sort of thing - I now regret that terribly.

Family and friends, I weep with you. It has been thirtyfive years ago or more since our paths had crossed. Greg's passing brings great sorrow. I have many great memories with the Harp Brothers in Frederick, Md. We where teenagers what a great time. Tom and Chuck my heart goes out to you, and also to his wife Deb children. Greg was a free spirit and naturalist he was a gift to you if he touched your life. He will always be fondly remembered forever.

Greg and I met first at the University of Portland. After graduating our friendship grew stronger by the years. Having moved back to Europe in 1991 we continued to manage to see each other almost every other year. Having Greg and Debbie coming to us in Europe was sheer joy. Having them in the cabin was sheer joy. Going to NM was one of the most enjoyable trips, THANK you!!! Tim and Darin's hero was Greg a man with heart, full of spirit, compassion and joy. Dear Deb, We feel so fortunate to have shared food and fellowship with you and Greg in Corova, North Carolina thanks to Bill and Sue's hospitality!  We will never forget Greg's blue eyes and red Crocs nor can I prepare an antipasto plate with thinking of him!  It seems he lived his life fully with eyes wide open and a smile on his face. Deb and all family members: Don't even know where to start on all that Greg meant to myself, Trent and Paul as a neighbor and as a friend. When we bought the house across the street from him he was the first to make us feel welcome and always acknowledged us everytime we saw each other outside or actually anywhere we saw him. I always saw Deb and Greg walking with Barley and the three of them made such a lovely family picture. Greg was a very loving husband, recently, taking Deb to a concert and proud of the fact that was something they both enjoyed doing together. Greg enjoyed knowing people more than he loved talking about himself, so it is only through this obituary that I now know he had similar interests in flying. I will always cherish all my neighborly conversations that we had together and the countless memories of Greg playing ball with Barley even while mowing the yard. There are far too few people in this world as special as Greg. A very special man has exited this world much too soon and will be missed each and everyday. My sincere condolences and prayers to all that had the priviledge to share this wonderful, loving mans life.

Dear Deb, For almost 22 years we were your's and Greg's next door neighbors. We will miss him more than anyone can imagine. He was always there to help us in anyway he could. We will always remember him when we edge our lawn, mow, get the mail, at Christmastime, etc. He was the most caring and happy person we had ever met! Please let us know if there is anything at all that we can do for you, even if it is just to talk. That is the way neighbors take care of each other! We will always be great friends.
