Gweneth May Baca

Gwen was raised and educated in Greeley, graduating from Greeley West High School. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

On August 9, 1980, she married Frank J. Baca at the Sweetheart Chapel in Loveland.

Gwen raised her children along with providing daycare in her home. She then worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Bonell Good Samaritan Center. She was most recently working in the dietary department. She loved working with the residents. She never missed a day of work. Gwen was very close with all of her family.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; two daughters, Angela Ortega (Max) and Braea Baca (Adrian Medina) all of Greeley; a step-daughter, Lana Lynn Baca of Denver; a son, Mike McWhirt (Renee) of Greeley; three step-sons, Carl Ray Baca of Denver, Scott Baca (Dawn) of Littleton and Robert Baca of Lakewood, brother, Lowell Ferguson of Garden City, Colorado; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Florene Craggs, an infant brother, Marion Ferguson and brother, Melvin Ferguson.

Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
