Helen Beard

Helen Louise Beard of Greeley died Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at North Colorado Medical Center. She was born May 20, 1923 to Howard and Helen Louise (Herzog) Harper in Rochester, New York.

Helen was reared and educated in Rochester, New York. She graduated from Jefferson High School in Rochester. On July 4, 1953, she married Edwin Beard in Rochester. They moved to Greeley in 1978, and have lived here since. She and Edwin were active members of the V.F.W. Pioneer Post No. 2121. She was a member of the Pioneer Post No. 2121 Auxiliary.

Helen was a homemaker and she enjoyed reading and watching TV. She was also a fan of the Denver Broncos.

She is survived by her daughter, April Brower of Denver; step-daughters, Edwina Eckrich, and Sandra LeBerth (Peter) all of Rochester, New York; sons, Edward Warren and James Warren (Chona) all of Greeley; brothers, David Harper (Carlotta) of Kendall, New York, James Harper and Richard Harper (Celia) all of Rochester, New York; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin on March 28, 2001 and her son, Robert Warren.

Private family services will be held.
