

She was born May 31,1926 to the late Tracy Kent Healy and Florence Coyne Healy in Brooklyn, New York.
Helen attended Mary Mount School of NYC, Syracuse University receiving her Bachelor’s and Master’s in TV and Radio Broadcasting. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution “DAR” and her hobbies included Bridge “Master”.
Helen married William A. McLaughlin in 1945 in New York City, New York. She worked with Brockport State College as Associate Professor from 1965-1996, teaching Speech, Radio and TV Broadcasting; directed many plays and won a Prestigious award for a Children’s Production via Radio.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Tracy and Florence Healy; her husband, William A. McLaughlin, III.; her sons, William A. McLaughlin, IV. and Bryant McLaughlin; her grandson, Spencer McLaughlin; and her 3 brothers, Bud Healy, Mike Healy, and Bob Healy.
Helen is survived by: her son, George G. McLaughlin (Beth McLaughlin) of Fort Collins, Colorado; her daughter-n-law, Donna McLaughlin of Aiken, South Carolina; her grandchildren, Brandon G. McLaughlin of Fort Collins, Colorado, Erin McLaughlin of Aiken, South Carolina, Laura McLaughlin of Grovetown, Georgia, and Kerry McLaughlin of Spencerport, New York; her great grandchildren, Liberty McLaughlin (Brandon) of Fort Collins, Colorado and Dante Gresham (Laura) of Grovetown, Georgia.
