Henry was drafted into the Army in April of 1945 and was stationed in Korea, where he constructed airstrips and highways during World War II. He was honorably discharged in December of 1946.
Henry attended plumbing school in 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri and became a Master Plumber. He returned to Ft. Morgan, where he met Reta Riechers. They married on September 23, 1951. They moved to Greeley, where he worked as a plumber and taught plumbing at Aims College.
Henry lived a full life. He enjoyed senior baseball, bowling, riding his motorcycle, gardening and going to Black Hawk. He also enjoyed playing cards and board games with family and friends.
Henry is survived by his wife, Reta; son, Bob (Diana); daughter, Debbie; sister, Marion Brozovich and granddaughter, Anna.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Katie, Lydia, Hannah and Martha and brothers, Sam and Abraham.
Visitation 10:00 a.m. followed by service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at St. Paul’s Congregational Church, 1525 43rd Avenue, Greeley, luncheon will follow. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 28th Street, Greeley.
