Hipolito “Paul” Griego, 82, of Greeley passed away March 14, 2017 at North Colorado Medical Center. He was born September 13, 1934 in Mora, New Mexico to Hipolito and Emelina Griego. He moved to Greeley in 1979 with his wife Frances Griego. They spent 61 wonderful years together.
Paul worked for Union Pacific as a Heavy Equipment Truck Driver. He was a member of First Assembly of God, New Hope Seniors, Rodarte Seniors and Prime Timers.
He loved being around people and well known for his joke telling. Paul was an avid Broncos fan.
Paul is survived by his wife Frances; daughter Becky (Steve) Swanson; son Jerry (DeDe) Greigo; two sisters Frances Bustos and Rose (Fred) Bustos; two brothers Sacie (Norma) Griego and Jesse (Jan) Griego; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, oldest son Jerry I; a sister Sarah Sanchez and a brother Jerry Griego.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 17, 2017 at First Assembly of God Church.
