I have so many memories of my brother Nacho, here are just a couple.

It was 47 years ago, the summer of 1974 when I moved from Pueblo to Greeley. A Pueblo class mate told me to look up Mitch Roggy when I got there. Standing on his porch, Mrs. Roggy said Mitch was out with some friends, when the sound of screeching tires rang out. I'll never forget how it looked when the tiniest car I'd ever seen, an English Ford rolled up with four Giants climbing out. Nacho, the driver, Mitch Roggy, Steve Johnson and Jerry Knespel.
It looked like a clown show! I just busted out laughing, and so did they. That is how we met. The thought still makes me laugh.

My favorite memory was a chance of a lifetime!
If you have been in the armed services, you remember your first morning as a recruit being violently awakened to screaming, hair-curling insults at you from all sides, ordering you to fall in and get in line, from multiple superiors. It was 4:00AM this particular morning, and was one of those supervisors (RCPO), yelling at a group of new recruits, and to my surprise there was Nacho and Nile Torres, this was going to be fun day. I yelled at Nacho, where are you from recruit? “Greeley Colorado Sir” he replied. What are you looking at I said, eyes straight ahead! Nacho replied, “you just look like a good friend from back home Sir!” I whispered in his ear, hey brother Nacho… I spent the entire day marching them to get their gear, but watching Nacho and Nile get their hair buzzed was priceless!
You will be missed my brother!🙏🏾

Justine, I don't think any one but you and yours will remember the times our families had together. Your dad was someone I could talk to everyday or not see for a year but everything remained the same.
He was a true gentle giant who cared about everyone more than himself.
I'm truly less a man without him.

Nacho, as we watched the bikes riding into the cemetery today, it brought tears to my eyes. Such a great feeling to see how many lives you have touched. I will miss our many talks, especially those about me getting a 3 wheeler. I still might just so I can feel you riding along side. We will miss your hearty laugh, hugs, and friendship. We will always have that connection with OJ and his son through that red Harley. Ride high and victorious with OJ, know that you will always be in our hearts. Our most sincere sympathies to your family. Love and miss you.

Nacho, as we watched all of the bikes following your bike into the cemetery today, it made me remember all of the good talks we had, especially when we would talk about me getting a 3 wheeler. I still might, just so I can think of you. We also have that connection with OJ and grandson through that red Harley. It will always hold a special place in our hearts. Ride on, dear friend. Take heaven by storm as you ride along OJ. Most sincere sympathies to your family. Love and miss you, Nacho.
