Jan Donovan

Jeanette (Jan) Elizabeth Donovan passed away on December 2, 2024, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on June 8, 1937, to Marcus and Rachel Johnston in Gary, Indiana, where she was one of four children.

Jan attended Lew Wallace High School and married John (Jack) Bortoli in 1954. The couple had three children, John, Jean, and Connie. Jack passed in 1962. She married Roger (Bill) Donovan in 1965, and the couple had two children, Brian, and Molly. Jan was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who dedicated her life to her family. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, basketweaving and refinishing antiques. Jan was committed to her community by volunteering at her children’s schools, the pediatric unit of the local hospital, and the YMCA. She enjoyed being a timer at her children’s swim meets, track events and cross county meets. Jan also spent countless hours supporting her children with their music endeavors. She was also a member of the Trinity Quilters of Greeley.

Jan is survived by her children, John (Darlene) Donovan, Jean (Joe) Donovan Tacoronte, Connie (Mark) Donovan Packnett, Brian (Lan) Donovan, Molly (Jeff) Donovan Stickler, grandchildren, John (Katie) Donovan, Thomas (Mika) Donovan, Kathryn (Michael) Donovan Moller, Christoper Packnett, Mandy Packnett, Conar (Amber) Donovan and Colin Donovan, great-grandchildren, Harper Donovan, Mae Donovan, Thomas Donovan, Theodore Moller, Joanna Donovan, Casey Donovan.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill, who passed in June 2010, and her first husband, Jack, also her parents, Marcus and Rachel, and siblings, Chuck, Lois, and Carol.

A visitation will be held on December 13, 2024, 1:00 pm at Allnutt Funeral Service, Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, and a memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm.
