The world lost a spirited independent lady with a kind and generous soul with the passing of Jane Marie Robbins, 80, of Loveland, on May 9th 2015. But the heavens are better for having her in their gentle care.
Jane was born on November 26, 1934 the eleventh child of twelve to the late Alfred and Josephine Hanson. Jane worked in the banking industry for over 28 years serving as an Auditor, Bookkeeper, and Bank Teller. She was also a homemaker, with an exceptional talent for cooking, which was a source of many family gatherings. There was nothing better than one of her dinners to bring out the best in people.
Jane was born in Bruce, Wisconsin, and grew up in San Francisco, where she met her soulmate, Bill. The two were married for 47 years until his passing in February of 2000.
Jane was a positive thinker, and no matter what life through her way, she met the challenge head-on, and a glass-half-full attitude. Among her many passions were family and friends, community service, and baseball. Jane was an active member in the Sons of Norway Stein Fjell Lodge, and served as its Treasurer and Secretary for many years. Grandma Jane didn’t miss a single grandchild’s baseball game, and was the honorary grandma to numerous “adopted” families.
Jane is survived by her sons Denny, and Keith, her daughter Lynne Tifft, several grandchildren, and great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her Sister Emma Callies. Please join us for a Memorial Service to celebrate her life at Crossroads Church, 5420 Taft Avenue, Loveland, CO, on Friday May 15th. Doors will open at 12:00 and services begin at 1:00 PM, with a reception to follow immediately afterwards. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Sons of Norway Scholarship Fund in care of Allnutt Funeral Service. Go to www.allnutt.com to sign the guestbook and send condolences.
