Jenniffer Christine Smith, 55, of Brighton, Colorado, passed away on September 11, 2025. Born on February 16, 1970, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Fredrick and Mary (Bryl) Phalen, Jenniffer brought warmth, creativity, and compassion to everyone who knew her.
After moving with her family to Colorado in 1984, she later attended Regis University. Jenniffer's greatest joy was devoting her life to raising her beloved children. As a mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Jenniffer was known for her selflessness, always putting others — especially her children — before herself.
A naturally artistic soul, Jenniffer found joy in drawing, coloring, and expressing herself creatively. She had a special love for thrifting, discovering beauty and value in the unexpected. Her heart was open not just to people, but to animals — she was known to care for stray cats in her neighborhood, offering them food and kindness.
Jenniffer found joy in life’s simple pleasures: reading a good book, watching classic 80s movies, and spending time in nature. Her love for these quiet moments reflected her gentle spirit and her ability to find peace and meaning in everyday life.
Jenniffer is survived by her children, Lindsy and Logan Smith; her parents, Mary and Rick Phalen; and her sister, Rachel Goodard. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and compassion that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
