Lit a candle in memory of Jim D. McPherson

We had the pleasure of knowing coach Jim through softball- we only met him a few short months ago but he was a wonderful man and with great spirit. He had a great influence on the girls he coached and was always smiling. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Prayers and thoughts are with his family at this time.
The Rosenthals

He was like a father to my grand daughter. He became one of my best friends the last few years. We could confide in each other, an uncommon trait in men. I see him in my mind walking from 1st base to the dugout---wearing red shorts, a white or gray T shirt, white socks pulled up all the way up. He is tanned by the sun of so many afternoons. Always with a smile and encouraging words. It was an honor knowing him. Thanks for the tomatoes Jim. And thanks for all you have done for my family. .

So sorry to hear about Jim's passing. He and his parents lived at Cotner Center in Lincoln, NE and he did maintenance for our building. Great guy! He was much missed when he moved.

Lanore Saltzman

An outstanding man and mentor! We met Jim in the early 90's while working construction. I learned a lot about project management from Jim and our family always enjoyed his company at an evening meal or mountain biking in the black hills on weekends. Jim was 20 years older than me and I always struggled to keep up with him when biking. Always a gentleman and a dependable friend, you will be greatly missed. Shannon, Leilani, and Tianna will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Alan and Lorie Van Bochove

What a great man!! Praying for you Shannon, Leilani and Tianna.

Walter and Sandy Nelson

I met Jim my senior year in high school as we both played basketball at the Hilltop Manor Recreation Center. We continued playing there through the Fall, Winter and Spring of 1961-1962. Jim was a very nice guy, fun to be around and a decent basketball player. We were both attending Wichita University that year. Jim joined the USAF in 1962 and I only saw him twice after that which were at our 30th and 50th Southeast High School Reunions which were good times of ""catching up"".

To Jim's family and loved ones, ""Please accept my deepest sympathy"".

Rest Jim, until you hear at dawn,
the low, clear reveille of God.

Thank you for your service to this nation.
