Jo Ann Gasner

Jo Ann Gasner of Greeley died Friday, November 5, 2010 at North Colorado Medical Center, Greeley. She was born February 13, 1929 in Jamestown, Kansas to John and Sarah (Stewart) Loftus.

Jo Ann came to Denver with her family as a young teenager. She graduated from West High School in Denver in 1947.

On September 23, 1947 she married John J. Gasner at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Denver. He died on August 16, 2007.

Jo Ann worked for Montgomery Ward in Denver for thirty years. She and John retired and moved to Lake McConaughy, Nebraska in 1988. They moved to Greeley in 2004. She was an avid reader.

Jo Ann was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greeley. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and loved her family unconditionally. Jo Ann was very kind to all she met.

She is survived by her daughter Sherry Stone (life partner Joan Huebl) of Greeley; her sons Greg Gasner (Danelle) of Tabernash and Steve Gasner of Greeley; a brother John Loftus (Betsy) of Aurora; four grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeff Gasner.

Visitation 4-7 p.m. Wednesday followed with the Recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
