Joe T Martinez Sr.

Joe T. Martinez Sr., 91, of Greeley, passed away peacefully at his home with all his children present on June 10, 2026. He was born on June 17, 1934, to Ruben and Geneva Martinez.

On July 20, 1953, Joe married Jennie Garcia, the love of his life. Together they had 8 children and shared many years of love, faith, and devotion until her passing on March 13, 2002.

Joe was an inspiring man whose greatest joy was his family. He deeply loved and cherished his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A man of strong faith, Joe lived his life guided by his love of God and was known for his kindness, wisdom, hope, and generosity. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and offer encouragement to those in need.

Joe is survived by his children: Raymond Martinez of Evans; Kathryn Korgan (Jack) of Greeley; Joe T. Martinez Jr. (Betty) of La Salle; Denise Arguello of Greeley; Angelo Martinez of La Salle; Matthew Martinez (Tricia) of Greeley; Roxann Martinez of Greeley; and Bernadette Lucero (James) of Greeley.

He is also survived by his sisters, Bernice Martinez of Colorado Springs and Clara Trujillo of Cheyenne.

Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jennie; his parents (Ruben & Geneva); five brothers (Louie, Toby, Johnny, Raymond, Danny): and four sisters (Jerri, Lucy, Victoria, Connie).

Viewing: 8:00 a.m.

Rosary: 9:00 a.m.

Funeral Mass: 9:30 a.m.

At St. Peter Catholic Church.

A Committal Service will be held at Eaton Cemetery, Christensen Ave, Eaton, CO 80615, US, on June 18, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

No Reception to follow Service.
