José Luis Bustamante Carta, nacido el 3 de julio de 1973 en Chihuahua, Chihuahua, México, falleció el 21 de abril de 2026 a la edad de 52 años. Fue un esposo, padre, abuelo y amigo devoto, cuya vida estuvo definida por el amor, el trabajo arduo y la alegría.

En 1992, José conoció al amor de su vida, Ivonne González, en un momento que se convirtió en una historia familiar muy querida: cuando ella juguetonamente lo hizo tropezar en un autobús, iniciando una conversación que creció hasta convertirse en un vínculo para toda la vida. Se unieron en matrimonio por lo civil el 25 de febrero de 1994 y posteriormente celebraron su unión en la Iglesia de Guadalupe en La Villa, Chihuahua, el 2 de mayo de 2004.

José dedicó 12 años de arduo trabajo como peón petrolero (roustabout) en Mundt Energy, donde fue conocido por su dedicación y fuerte ética laboral. Fue un esposo y padre excepcional: amoroso, confiable y siempre poniendo a su familia en primer lugar.

Encontraba su mayor alegría al estar rodeado de su familia, especialmente de sus nietos, Xochitl Bustamante, Cristopher Martínez e Ingrid Martínez. Le encantaba jugar con ellos, hacerlos reír y crear recuerdos que llevarán consigo para siempre. José también disfrutaba jugar fútbol, ver sus películas favoritas una y otra vez y compartir risas a través de TikToks.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Ivonne González; sus hijos, Cristina Bustamante y Cristian Bustamante; su nuera, Allyssa Bustamante; su yerno, Johnathan Martínez; y sus queridos nietos.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Tomás Bustamante y Carmen Carta, así como sus hermanos Félix Bustamante, Tomás Bustamante y Marta Bustamante.

Se llevará a cabo una velación el 28 de abril de 2026, de 5:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m., en Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado. La misa funeral se celebrará el 29 de abril de 2026 a las 11:00 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica Our Lady of Peace, 1311 3rd Street, Greeley, Colorado.

Jose Luis Bustamante Carta, born July 3, 1973, in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico, passed away on April 21, 2026, at the age of 52. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose life was defined by love, hard work, and laughter.

In 1992, Jose met the love of his life, Ivonne Gonzalez, in a moment that became a cherished family story—when she playfully tripped him on a bus, sparking a conversation that grew into a lifelong bond. They were united in marriage by law on February 25, 1994, and later celebrated their union in the Church of Guadalupe in La Villa, Chihuahua, on May 2, 2004.

Jose dedicated 12 years of hard work as a roustabout with Mundt Energy, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. He was an exceptional husband and father—loving, dependable, and always putting his family first.

He found his greatest joy in being surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren, Xochitl Bustamante, Cristopher Martínez, and Ingrid Martínez. He loved playing with them, making them laugh, and creating memories they will carry forever. Jose also enjoyed playing soccer, watching his favorite movies over and over again, and sharing laughter through TikToks.

Those who knew Jose will remember his warmth, humor, and generous spirit. He was a very silly and loving man who always made sure others were happy, offering the best advice and a helping hand whenever it was needed.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ivonne Gonzalez; his children, Cristina Bustamante and Cristian Bustamante; his daughter-in-law, Allyssa Bustamante; his son-in-law, Johnathan Martinez; and his cherished grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tomas Bustamante and Carmen Carta, as well as his siblings Felix Bustamante, Tomas Bustamante, and Marta Bustamante.

A visitation will be held on April 28, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado. A Funeral Mass will be held on April 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1311 3rd Street, Greeley, Colorado.

Jose will be deeply missed, but his love, laughter, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
