Jose was raised in Colorado. He attended East Memorial Elementary and John Evans Jr. High. He married Alicia Dominguez on June 17, 2000 in Greeley.
Jose worked as a laborer on turkey farms and in construction. He loved fishing, barbequing, walking around the neighborhood and he loved when his step-sons and grandchildren came to visit.
Jose is survived by his wife, Alicia Carrizales; three step-sons, Robert Anthony Salazar, Christopher Salazar Dominguez (Justine Martinez) and Daniel Dellarosa Dominguez (Kim Dominguez) and six sisters, Juanita, Irene, Amada, Tilea, Mary Lou and Ruby.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Henry and Albert.
