It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Judy Ann Duncan, aged 74, of Greeley, Colorado, who departed this life, in Greeley on June 14, 2025. Born on April 18, 1951, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Judy was the beloved daughter of the late Jim and Maxine Netherland.
Judy's life was distinguished by her enduring devotion to her husband, Gary Duncan, with whom she shared a marriage spanning over five decades, united in matrimony on August 31, 1968. Together, they nurtured a family grounded in affection, resilience, and mutual support. Judy is lovingly remembered by her three children: Andy Duncan of Greeley, Colorado: Randy Duncan of Phoenix, Arizona: and Joshua Duncan, along with his wife, Toni Duncan, also of Greeley, Colorado.
As a proud and dedicated grandmother, Judy's legacy is carried forth by her five cherished grandchildren: Sierra, Hailie, and Mykenna Duncan, all of Greeley, as well as Mallory and Tyler Duncan of Austin, Texas. She was a devoted sister to Sue Boehmer, and was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda West.
Throughout her life, Judy pursued many interests with enthusiasm and grace. She took great pleasure in crocheting, camping, and fishing, and spent numerous years actively participating in her local bowling league. In later years, Judy enjoyed playing bingo, cards and various other games in the company of friends. She was an ardent supporter of her grandchildren's sporting events and relished gambling in Blackhawk, CO and South Dakota and more recently, Cheyenne, WY to try her luck at the slot machines.
To all who knew her, Judy was a steadfast source of encouragement, a compassionate presence, and a model of strength and kindness. Her memory will be held in the deepest regard by her family and a wide circle of friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 11th at 5:00 p.m. at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th St., Greeley, CO 80634. Interment will take place the following day, Saturday July 12th at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 10600 Liberty Oil Rd., Morrill, NE 69358.
