Julie Anciso Garza, September 11, 1951 to June 14, 2021. Married the love of her life Ramon Garza September 15, 1969. When you ask her husband, he will tell you about how she kidnapped him on August 16, 1969 and stole his heart. Their love story is one for the books, and one her kids will cherish for all time. They enjoyed 51 plus years together filled with love and plenty of memories. They enjoyed going on a trip at a moment’s notice together. These adventures were what made their love grow and spill over to their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved going to new places and seeing all the sights with her family.
Julie lived a life dedicated to her family, friends, and faith. She loved and watched over her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with great joy and left a lasting impression of how a mother loves and cares for her family. You could always find her enjoying time with her family, or hear her talk about her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Oftentimes you would hear her laughing as she tried to tell a funny story about one of us. You couldn’t help but laugh along with her as she tried to get through the story between bouts of laughter. Her great grandkids enjoyed running to her calling her Gran Mama, so they could show her something or just tell her something they did or saw.
Julie’s faith called her to mentor others on their paths toward devoting themselves to service. Oftentimes, you could find her studying and learning from the Lord, not only to walk in His path, but to learn how to grow and find new ways to guide others to His light. She loved teaching Sunday School, and jumped at any chance to share her faith and love of God with family and friends. Growing up we would always hear her sing her favorite hymns, or listening to her music while she worked around the house and while studying the Word of God.
As we go forth, we are confident that she will continue watching over her growing family. We move forward celebrating the life she lived and all she taught us. She loved her husband, five children, fifteen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren (one is due any day now). We will continue to honor her the best we can and show the love she had for not only her family but those she came to know in life.
