I just heard that Karl passed, and I was just thinking about you all last night and reminiscing about our lives when we were neighbors.  Please accept my deepest condolenses.  You all were a big part of my family's lives, and, even though I am retired and living in Argentina now, I still have fond memories (and pictures).

Mrs. Carson & family: My family went to the First Methodist Church with your family for all of my growing-up years. I was in school with both Dan and LuAnn, and my brother was in school with Jim. My mother, Eileen Mulnix, shared many wonderful memories of time spent at your home for picnics in the summer with church groups and friends. My family is gone now, but I wanted to send my condolences because I know my parents would want that and because the Carson name has always been so huge in the Ft. Collins community. Mr. Carson will be dearly missed.

Karl was our family dentist from 1956 until he retired and a friend. Fort Collins will miss him.

As County Commissioner in Larimer County in 1976, I valued Karls' friendship and mentoring. He was a true leader of the highest ethical standard. Susan and I express our Condolences to his family.

Karl, Tom Bennett, John Batson and I played golf every Wed. for many years. We never played serious golf but had a very good time. On the golf course I was never sure what gave Karl the most satisfaction; winning 25 cents from each of us for being closest to the pin on par 3's or finding a gold ball in the rough. 
After playing while waiting for lunch talk often turned to travel. Many times he told us of his and Wilma's adventures and how glad he was to get back home and to be an American. And yes, sometimes the subject was politics; local, state and national.
Come Wed. it wouldn't surprise me to find Karl and Tom splitting a Ruben swandwich, having an O'Doul's and talking about their favorite subject and what they were most proud of - their families.

So sorry to here about your loss.  Dan I don't know if you remember me or not but your family was very special to mine.  I know my dad, Ed Yonker, thought the world of Karl.  He will be missed in this community.  May the Lord give you His peace and comfort at this time.

Very sorry to hear about the loss of Karl, he was a great man and a good friend to me.  I will always remember how he helped me when I started my dental practice in the facility at 1103 South Shields.  I enjoyed the many years I practiced in the facility with Karl and Tom, and appreciate the guidance that Karl gave me.  He led a full and very prosperous life with many friendships.

Few have meant as much to Fort Collins as did Karl.  He will be sadly missed and we send our deepest condolences to Wilma and the family.

Wilma and family, Our Kiwanis club will miss Karl so very much. He will always remain in our hearts and in the memories of all that Kiwanis stands for. He was such a remarkable gentleman and I personally am so fortunate to have known him and worked closely with him for the youth of our community.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Karl.  I was associated with him thru our property management company - VERN MILTON & CO - a few years back.  He and George Moore were a delight to work with - and now they can be together again sharing the stories and the company of each other. Mayor Carson was a real champion of community involvement, and he walked the talk. He and Wilma are icons and have always been strong supporters of mine. Karl never hesitated to give me advise, listen, and quick to compliment me when I was a Mayor and after leaving office. I really will miss his guidence... a true patriarch of Fort Collins.

Dear Wilma,
     I am writing to you from Costa Rica.  I always read the Coloradoan on the internet every morning and was so saddened today to read about Karl.
     Karl and you have always been such good friends.  I will never forget the many kindness you gave to mother when she moved to Fort Collins and had very few friends.  
     I always felt like I could ask Karl for advice and he would be truthful, honest, and give me the best suggestions as to how to proceed.
     His contribution to the community and especially to the arts was imeasureable and without him there would have been no Lincoln Center.  I always credited Karl and the other members of the first Lincoln Center board for their work.  And, without them I wouldn't have had such a wonderful job for 24 years!
     I know you two had a great time together and I often used the both of you as an example of a perfect marriage.
     You will miss him and yet you will have some wonderful memories to keep with you.
     As you know I have a second home now in Costa Rica.  I will be in Fort Collins for a couple of months starting April 9th and will make sure to come by and say hello.
