Kathleen Bauming

Kathleen “Kathy” Bauming, 70 of Greeley, passed away March 8, 2020 at Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. Kathy was born August 29, 1949 in Greeley, Colorado to Alex and Pauline (Thiel) Bauming.

Kathy was born and raised in Greeley and lived here her entire life. She graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1967. Kathy worked at Buckeye Welding as the Office Manager.

She was an avid reader and had an extensive book collection. Kathy enjoyed county music and loved going to concerts, enjoyed gardening, collecting recipes - but never actually cooked them as she was one picky eater, loved to collect nik naks and sterling silver, journaling and making candy – she made the best peanut brittle ever! She was a movie buff and loved her diet dr. pepper.

Kathy was humble and didn’t enjoy the spot light, but loved helping others. Her grandchildren were near and dear to her heart.

Kathy is survived by her son Skyler (Janel) Schissler, sister Thiela Schissler and grandchildren Kingston and Kallie Grace. As well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kathy’s favorite color was lavender purple, we encourage you to wear something casual in these colors in Kathy’s honor.
