Kayla Manuela Rodriguez, our "big girl", was born on March 2, 2013, in Aurora, Colorado, and passed away on July 23, 2026. She was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend whose brief life left a lasting imprint on all who knew and loved her. Kayla resided in Greeley, Colorado.
Kayla will be remembered for the simple, sincere way she moved through the world—often reassuring others with her familiar words, “I’m ok,” even when those around her were the ones seeking comfort. She brought laughter into everyday moments, especially with the affectionate way she teased her brothers by calling them her “chubby monkeys.”
A bright and eager student, Kayla truly loved school and found joy in reading. Her imagination was nourished by the stories she adored, from baby first books to Vampirina, cartoons, and Fancy Nancy. She also delighted in the small pleasures of life—meals shared at IHOP, McDonald’s, and Little Caesars, and the comfort of favorite routines. Her favorite color was blue, a fitting reflection of the calm happiness she so often carried.
Kayla loved to travel, and nothing captured her heart more than the ocean. She always looked forward to returning to it, drawn to its beauty and the sense of wonder it inspired. She also held deep love for her grandpa and grandma, cherishing the bond she shared with them.
Kayla is survived by her mother, Laura Rodriguez; her three brothers, Nomar, Henrry, and Martin; her grandparents, Maria and Martin Rodriguez; as well as aunts, uncles, many cousins, and her dog, Monkey.
Kayla loved colors, so please wear bright colors to her services.
