Keith Gibson of Platteville, Colorado, where he lived with his aunt, Jeanne Hirsch, passed away February 21, 2021 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado. He went to elementary school and middle school in Platteville, and he attended Valley High School in Gilcrest, where he lettered in band and was a member of the Valley High Jazz Band playing alto, tenor and baritone sax.
He worked for the Kottage Kitchen for several years while he was in school and a short time after. He started working for Colorado Dairy Farm and began his journey in firefighting with the Platteville Fire Department. He remained in the agricultural industry for many years while continuing his firefighting journey at Kersey, Hudson, and Amherst fire, where he served as fire chief and EMT.
He enjoyed driving truck over the road hauling live cattle and boxed beef. He finished his trucking career moving drilling rigs for the oil field and spreading manure in the agricultural field.

I met Keith a few years ago ; he was nephew to my friend Jeannie. We talked only a few times but I loved the way his mind worked. He always knew what he thought and was good at explaining it.
I had recently moved to Platteville from Holyoke Co which is very near Amherst and firefighters overlapped these areas. We knew a lot of the same people had lots to discuss.
Keith had an amazing way of thinking. miss him already. God bless you Keith Gibson and keep you.
