Born on June 24, 1933, in Roundup, Montana, Keith was the son of Galen and Rita (Green) Scritchfield.
On December 18, 1971, he married LaQuita Lohry (Gamble) and together they built a beautiful life, residing in Windsor, Loveland, and most recently, Greeley.
Keith spent many years self-employed as a paint contractor before joining Hewlett-Packard, later Agilent Technologies, where he eventually retired.
In retirement, Keith’s creativity flourished. He spent time painting pictures and designing bottle caps with uplifting messages which he joyfully gave away to remind others that Jesus is alive.
He was an active member of several churches throughout northern Colorado, most recently CitiPointe Church. Known affectionately as "Hugs the Clown", Keith brought joy to countless children through face painting, balloon animals, and sharing the love of Jesus.
Keith also enjoyed fishing, throwing horseshoes, visiting the slot machines in Black Hawk, and playing table games with his family. His playful spirit, warm heart, and love for fun will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife, LaQuita Scritchfield; sons Keith (Donna) Scritchfield Jr, Ken (Deb) Scritchfield, and Jim (Robin) Scritchfield; stepchildren Gene (Karin Keller) Lohry, Tina (Mike) Halpin, and Mike Lohry; along with 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A celebration of Keith's life will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at CitiPointe Church Northern Colorado, located at 5657 McWhinney Blvd, Loveland, CO 80538. It is located just west of I-25 and north of Highway 34 in the Outlet Stores complex.
