Kim attended schools in Greeley and graduated from University (Lab) High School in 1995, with honors. She attended Colorado State University and in 1999, she graduated with honors and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health. She then began working with Hewlitt-Packard in Environmental Services. In 2006, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Environmental Health Management and held a regional supervisory position when they transitioned to Agilent Technologies.
On September 9, 2000, Kimberly married the love of her life, Michael Shane Hobbs in Loveland.
She enjoyed reading and had a passion for the written word. You would always find a red pen in her hand. Kim loved animals and was a very active advocate. Kim loved life and found the good in any situation. She had a big heart and always gave 110% of herself to her family and friends. Kim enjoyed spending time outdoors, in the mountains and with her family, and most especially with her daughter.
Kimberly is survived by her husband, Michael Hobbs; daughter, Alyssa Lauren Hobbs of Greeley; parents, Steven and Pennie Meisner of Greeley; father and mother-in-law, Darrell and Bonnie Hobbs of Sterling; brother, Chris (Christina) Meisner of Denver; sister-in-law, Sandy (Maury) Rodgers of Sterling; brother-in-law, Darrell Jr. (Paige) Hobbs of Fort Collins and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Friday at Stoddard Funeral Home. Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Congregational Church, 1525 43rd Avenue, Greeley. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
