Larry L. Carlson “Salt n’ Pepper”, 72 of Greeley, passed away at Windsor Health Care Center on May 10, 2019, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Larry was born January 28, 1947 in Longmont, CO to Gerald and Eileen (Kreps) Carlson.
Larry was raised in Greeley and graduated from Greeley High School in 1966. He owned his own dry wall business but had also worked as a truck driver and bouncer, and was working for Western Mobile when he retired. He served in the Army in 1966, during Vietnam.
Larry was a very hard and dedicated worker. He had a huge sense of humor, hands that were stern but kind, and enjoyed going to the dog track for greyhound racing. But, most of all, he loved his children.
He is survived by his son, Greg Carlson; daughters, Julie Dewalt, Kim Albreicht, Kassi Collins and Kari Carlson; brothers, Leo Carlson and Wendell Carlson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Stanley Carlson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the Country Inn in Greeley.
