We send our deepest sympathy to you and your family.  Lawrence (Mr. Drake), as we always called him, will always be fondly remembered by our family.  I'm sure we still have many of the pens, etc. that he would bring over to our house on 23rd street.  The Drake family will always be rememberd by our family.
We so enjoyed the times when you would stop in for breakfast or for coffee when you were in town.  Those were special times for all of us.
I will not be in town the day of the funeral, as I spend most of my time at my cabin in Red Feather.  Please again, accept my deepest sympathy.

Dear Harriet,
Keith and I are in Oregon right now, but Sylvia called us and let us know of your loss.  Our hearts go out to you even though we know Lawrence has gone to his eternal gold mine.
When we moved in next to his folks on 23rd Street in Loveland in 1952, he became a presence in our lives.
I remember him being in and out of their house and his gruff exterior.  He added an exciting dimension to our lives as he showed us bits and pieces of whatever he was puttering on at the time.  I kept some calendar pictures he gave me well into my adult years making some of them into plaques for the walls in my first home.
Of course, the silk embroidery that had been his mothers which he allowed me to buy has made him a daily part of my life all of these years since.
We were so happy for him when he found you.  We were glad he shared you with us.  
I'm sure you have many good friends who will help you through this hard time.  I will pray for.
