92, of Evans, formerly of Milliken
Leonard Coskey, 92 of Evans, CO, formerly of Milliken, passed away at Ashley Manor Care Center on March 4, 1921. Leonard was born October 10, 1921 in Chilhowee, MO, to George Emory and Flossie Pearl (Shore) Coskey. He married Frances Parker Frank on December 11, 1987 in Miami, Oklahoma.
He graduated from Chilhowee High School. He worked for Westinghouse in Kansas City, MO, Martin Marietta and retired from Rockwell International. He also owned Show-Me Tours in Stockton, MO.
Leonard was raised in the Baptist faith, was an Exalted Ruler and Lifetime Member of the Grandview, MO, Elks Lodge, and President of the National Society of Manufacturing Engineers at Rocky Flats. He served in the Army from April 27, 1944 and was honorably discharged on March 23, 1946 in Fort Leavenworth, KS, as a Staff Sgt.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards at the Senior Center.
He is survived by his wife Frances Coskey, Millken, CO; son Gale (Shauna) Coskey, Utah; daughters Gerry (Lindy) Emerson, Arvada, CO and Lynn (Ron) Pomeroy, Johnstown, CO; stepdaughter, Carole Rose, Evans, CO; grandchildren, Steve and Jeff Pomeroy, Jason Coskey and Joyce Chirrick, Greg and Wayne Emerson; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great, great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Pearl, Edyth and Carol; and brother George.
A viewing will be held one hour prior to the Service. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Reception in the Allnutt Reception Center. Interment at Foothills Memorial Gardens.
