

He married the love of his life Karen Kay Riggs on June 4th,1961 and celebrated 47 years of marriage before the time of her passing.

Car salesman at Weld County Garage in Greeley 1996 - 2026 whom he considered his extended family for thirty years.
Proud member of the American Legion, Lion’s Club, Swedish Heritage Society, and Independent Order of Foresters (formerly).
Recognized by 9 News as a “9 Who Care” recipient for his extensive volunteer work with Junior Achievement, Lion’s Club Charities, and as Santa Claus for non-profit organizations including (but not limited to); Aha Ministries where he was Santa for the Boulder Ridge Mobile Home Park for over 15 years.
His pride and joy in life was helping to bring Christmas to families across Colorado for approximately 50 years, starting as Santa on Skates for several of those years.
He was preceded in death by his parents J. Albert Holm and Dorothy Holm, his wife Karen Holm, and brother-in-law Duane Daire.
He is survived by his brother David Holm - nephews Brady and Brian Holm

And his pride and joy, his “little buddy”, his great Grandson…Colter Paul Clark.
Leroy’s entire goal in life was to ensure that those around him always felt loved and cared for. Everything he did, he did for others with a loving heart and expecting nothing in return.
Growing up Pop would sing ‘You Are My Sunshine’ in quiet times, sad times, long drives, and bedtimes. Bringing comfort, peace, and joy to daughter and granddaughter alike. Little did he know, he truly was our sunshine.
So, in his own words; “Smile, you’ll feel better.”
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Journey Christian Church, 4757 W. 31st Street, Greeley, at 1:00 p.m. A reception will immediately follow in the Cafe at the church.
