You and Le were our first teachers in Greeley at Franklin.  You both became like 2nd parents to us.  You taught Duane and I started with Le.  I'll never forget taking a picture of you two on the front steps of the school and you said it would break my camera.  I never realized how impressive he was until I read the obituary that was sent to me.  We just thought you were special teachers.  You probably had a greater influence on our lives than you could ever know. God bless you and Le in this time of difficulty.  You are still special people to me.  Gloria

I first met Le and Namcy at the 504th Bomb Group Reunion in Wash.,DC in 2000, with my cousin Tom Bowman, and we were most warmly received as we knew nothing of the 504th at the time.  My uncle, Lt. John Barcynski was KIA on the Yokohama mission of May 29, 1945, and his son Tom was born Aug. 31, 1945.  Over the years I learned much about the 504th from Le and the original combat crews, for which I am forever thankful.  In time I had a great association with Fiske Hanley, the original historian of the 504th.  This past year at our reunion in Dallas some of our members rode on a B-29 named ""Fifi"", and had a marvelous time.  During the meeting I was nominated to take over the reins from Fiske as the new historian of the 504th.  I am certainly proud of the short time getting to know men such as Le, Art Tomes. Tom Schoolcraft, and the guys who still religously come to our reunions.  But now Le will have that great reunion above with all the 504th members who have left us, and we look forward to the day when we will all meet Le once again.  God Bless Le, Nancy and the Triplett family.

It saddens me to hear of his passing.  My deepest sympathies to Nancy and family.  I only found out today Jan 21st.  He was my teacher at Franklin School in 1946.  And later became a close family friend thru my sister and mother, Judy and Charlotte.

Dr. Triplett was my principal in 1st grade at Madison Elementary 34 years ago. I remember him to this day as a loving caring person. He used to come by the lunch table and pull on my pig tails. I am so sad to hear about his passing. He touched many lives. Condolences to the family.

I've known Dr. T since I was in 1st grade and his wife was my teacher 60+ years ago.  Our families grew to be special friends - all our lives. Both taught a love of reading and learning, and modeled it. I shall miss his wit and smile. I send Nancy and their sons my deepest sympathy. Sylvia and I were very saddened and distressed when we read about Dr. Triplett's passing. Our sincere condolences are expressed to Nancy and the children. 

Dr. Triplett, (Le) played a rather significant part in our various professional lives as employees of School District Six. I (Ken) first met Le as he was Assistant Superintendent of Schools in July 1970. I walked into the district offices and asked if I could speak to someone about possible employment as an elementary principal. I was directed upstairs to talk to Le. After a very gracious 45 minute conversation / informal interview with Le I remarked that ""I do understand that, at this late date, there would be little likelihood that there would be an administrative opening."" Le, in a gesture I learned to appreciate later, cocked his head to the side, looked me in the eye and said, ""Now don't be too sure of that, young man!"" Less than three weeks later this young man of 29 was appointed as the second principal of Maplewood Elementary School (my first principalship) and was on the job the first week of August. I've never forgotten the opportunity that Le gave me to become an administrator. He supported me completely during my fourteen years in the district. 

Over the years we saw each other periodically, most recently as part of the group of retired District Six administrators that met quarterly for breakfast at the Paragon, a social time organized by Le who never forgot to send us reminders. I will really miss those breakfast socials. 

In the fall of 1970 I was greatly honored when Le and Nancy arrived at our home to celebrate my 70th birthday on a beautiful September afternoon /early evening. I was blown away and I really appreciated their attendance.  Knowing Le meant very much to me. 

Sylvia first met Nancy through District Six ""Faculty Wives"" and enjoyed the social meeting that brought the wives of District Six teachers and administrators together. She always admired Nancy's poise and graciousness during that time. 

Again, Sylvia and I are deeply saddened by Le's death but consider it a rare privilege to have known and loved him these last 41 years or so. God bless him and his family. May he truly rest in peace.
