Liam “Lexi” Morgan Steele, age 26, passed away on August 21, 2026. Lexi was a resident of Eugene, Colorado. Born on September 1, 1999, Lexi met life with steady resilience, a brave heart, and a kindness that showed itself in gentle, caring ways—often accompanied by a well-timed sense of humor that brought light to those around them.
In early life, Lexi moved to Oregon to begin their new life, stepping forward with quiet courage and determination. In time, Liam was making their transition to living their true life as Lexi, and their family loved and supported them through this incredible life change.
Lexi worked hard to support their love for MMORPG's, spending their time as a cook for Applebee's and Olive Garden. Their warmth and perseverance were evident not only in what they did, but in the spirit they brought to it.
Lexi’s interests were a vivid reflection of their curiosity and joy: gaming, Legos, Star Wars, cats, and anime. They shared meaningful time with family playing Minecraft, Monopoly, and Terraria—simple moments made lasting by Lexi’s humor and tender-hearted presence. Lexi also loved coffee, and held a special affection for their mom’s cooking, especially her stuffed shells and peanut butter pork.
Lexi is survived by: mother, Kathryn Dani Mast; Step-Father, Christopher Rood; and Great-Grandmother, Joan Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Stoddard Funeral & Cremation & Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3205 W 28th St, Greeley, Colorado 80634, on October 4, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Lexi was loved deeply and will be missed beyond measure.
