Lillie Erwin

Lillie Erwin, 96 of Parker, CO, passed away September 18, 2016 at her home. Lillie was born October 1, 1919 in Marysville, TX, to Archie Willis and Birdie (Perkins) Reeves. She married William Rentz Erwin on February 27, 1944 in Texas. They were married for nearly 70 years. William died July 15, 2013.

Lillie lived in Greeley from 1957 until 2012 at which time she moved to Parker, CO. She graduated high school in 1939 in Gainsville, TX, earned her Bachelors degree at North Texas State Teachers College and her Masters degree at Colorado State College. She taught for Greeley Weld District 6 for 24 years – 1st and mostly 2nd grade.

Lillie loved to sew, quilt, crochet, needlepoint, and read.

She was preceded in death by her husband William; children William David Erwin and Rebecca Louis Perry, and all her siblings.

She is survived by David’s wife, Pam Erwin and Becky’s husband, Harlan Perry; grandchildren, Daryl (Katy) Erwin, Melinda (Jess) Jensen, and Elizabeth (Chuck) Woznack; and great-grandchildren, Anika, Triona and Zade Erwin, Bailee and David Jensen.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the First Congregational Church. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
