Lonny Lee Brewer, Sr., 85, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away at his home on August 7, 2026. Lonny was born October 15, 1940, in Decatur, Nebraska, to Henry and Melva (Hightree) Brewer. He was the third oldest of ten children and grew up on the family farm in Decatur. Lonny graduated from Decatur Public School and later from Norfolk Junior College in Norfolk, Nebraska.
Lonny was lovingly married to Constance "Connie" Susan Cornwell on September 4, 1962, beginning a beautiful marriage of 63 years and 11 months. Together, Lonny and Connie had five children, though they sadly lost an infant daughter, Angela Rae, just after birth in 1971.
Lonny loved his Lord and Savior. It was his goal in life to make heaven his final journey so he could walk and talk with Jesus. Throughout his life, he served faithful roles in church leadership, including serving on his church board as a deacon. He loved to sing and shared his gift on many Sundays and special occasions for anyone who asked.
Lonny was also a very talented athlete. He excelled in basketball, football, baseball, track, golf, bowling, and any sport he chose to play. He proudly passed these traits down to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He worked as a meat cutter for 32 years at various companies and as a property manager for Solenberger Properties for 16 years.
Lonny is survived by his wife, Connie; his daughters, JoLinda Brewer-Wilson (Marc Olson), Jerilyn Martinez (Andrew), and Dawn Scott (Randy); and his son, Lonny Lee Brewer Jr. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Austin Brewer (Shelly), Caleb Brewer, Logan Wilson (Mercedes), Andrew (AJ) Martinez Jr (Desirea), and Ashlyn Martinez; eight great-grandchildren; Sasha, Meila, Kaiya, Tayla, Athena, Everleigh, Colson, and Adlee; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ron and Donna Cornwell; two brothers, Ronald Brewer and Clark Brewer; two sisters, Fanchon Andersen and Janelle Britton; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant daughter, Angela; his granddaughter, Megan Danielle Martinez; his grandson, Luke Lee Charles Wilson; and five brothers, Terry, Jerry, Paul, John, and Lowell.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Stoddard Funeral Home, beginning with a one-hour viewing at 9:30 a.m. with a service to follow. Interment will be at noon at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Lunch to follow services at the clubhouse at 3800 Center Place Dr. Greeley. Florist recommended: Morgan Floral Co., 970-875-5844
