Dear Putnam Family,
I was sorry to hear of ""Puttie""s passing. I recall him as a mentor in the early 1980's when I was starting my PhD program at OSU.  I very much enjoyed my interactions with him in the Botany and Zoology Building and recall him fondly to this day. He seemed to have led a fulfilled life, which is all any of us can hope for.
