

Lorraine Printz, 91 of Greeley, peacefully left this earth on July 10, 2018 to join her husband Clarence on his heavenly birthday. Lorraine Lillian Schmunk was born to Jake and Mollie (Schultz) Schmunk in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on February 14, 1927. She took great pleasure in being born a Valentine.
She grew up in Fort Collins, Ault and Pierce, CO. She graduated from Olive Branch School and attended Pierce High School.
Lorraine married Clarence Printz in December of 1948, and they farmed in the Kersey and Platteville areas for 38 years. She worked at Mountain Bell Telephone Company, at RE-1 and District 6 school lunch programs, and at Allnutt Funeral Service in Greeley.
She had been an active member of Saint John’s United Church of Christ for 70 years and actively participated as a member in the Women’s Fellowship and served as a Sunday school teacher. Lorraine enjoyed a variety of social clubs such as Kuner Circle and Gilcrest Garden Club and volunteered with United Way Bright By Three, RSVP, and Senior Resource Services all of which filled her social needs. She enjoyed being around people and was active in her community at The Bridge.
She is survived by her sons, Ed (Linda) of Platteville; and Doug (Kathy) of La Salle; and her daughters Jude and Nan of Greeley. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Matt (Kari) of Elm Creek, Nebraska; Ben of Greeley; and Janelle of Greeley; as well as four great grandchildren: Bailey, Hope, Jameson, and Scarlett; sister, Beverly (Robert) McConville; brother, Ronald (Mary Ann) Schmunk; brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Mary Jane) Printz and Carl (Patricia) Printz; sister-in-law, Esther Jo Printz; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence; her parents Jake and Mollie; and brothers Melvin and Donald Schmunk.
A visitation will be held from 5-7:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Interment will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, July 16, 2018 at St. John’s United Church of Christ.
