Lorraine R. Salazar was born in Greeley, Colorado on October 4, 1958, to Arthur Salazar and Jane Gustafson. Lorraine attended schools in both Evans and Greeley. While working full time and raising her two daughters, Lorraine earned her degree, which elevated her to a more advanced position with Hewlett Packard and later with Crop Production Services. She placed a very high value on education, and earning her degree inspired many members of her immediate and extended family to do the same. Lorraine had a heart of gold and loved spending time with her family and friends. She dedicated her free time to putting together family events and always made sure that friends felt like they were a part of her family. Lorraine’s unconditional commitment and love to her children and grandchildren was something to be admired. She also worked passionately with the Our Lady of Peace youth group in the 1990’s. Lorraine was preceded in death by her loving mother, Jane Gustafson. God Bless you Lorraine on your journey, you were a light of joy and happiness! Greatest memory of Lorraine and her Mom Jane kidnapping my brand new husband on our wedding day! Held out for a healthy ransom! Thank you! God Bless and hold your family in love and peace as they adjust to life without you.

Lorraine, It had been a while since I saw you last and wish life had not gotten in the way to catch up. We met initially because your mom and my mom were friends. Our lives went different directions yet I have not and never will forget what an awesome person you are, being my friend and it sadens me to know we won't get to do that catch up in this life but you are home now and you will never be forgotten. Until we meet again... Love ya frirnd, Chris

Lorraine and I were friends from childhood through adulthood. We went through our 6th grade graduation together. Thought we were something special as our mothers took us to the beauty salon to have our hair done. I still have that picture what a pair we were. I will remember her smile and friendship forever. You will be missed my friend however you are no longer in pain and can run freely.

Lorraine was like a big sister to me.
She always had a smile on her face and was always very gracious. When I was younger she would fix us dinner and we would watch all the Friday night greats on TV, Dallas, Dukes of Hazzard, etc.
I spent a lot of time with her and the family, which in turn made me feel like they were my family also.
She was just as sweet as can be and very loving. I will miss her.
