Louis LeRoy Klein

Louis LeRoy Klein, 92 of Greeley, passed away at Kenton Manor on August 8, 2017. Louis was born May 19, 1925 in Berthoud, CO, to Reinhardt and Amalie (Ostermiller) Klein. He married Josephine Hoff on May 31, 1945 in Greeley, CO. She died September 7, 2003.

Louis graduated from Kersey High School. He grew up in the Greeley area, working and living on his family farm. He retired in 1990.

Louis was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Congregational Church. He enjoyed tinkering in his shop, he and Josephine liked to travel, and he was an avid amateur archaeologist.

He is survived by his sons, Terry (Christine) Klein and Dennis (Vicky) Klein; grandchildren, Jason Klein, Kurt Klein, Anna (Craig) Beaven, and Jennifer (Oscar) Watson; and great-grandchildren Courtney Klein, Brittany Klein and Jessica Beaven; and great-great granddaughter, Kammryn Lynn Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Josephine; brothers, Ivan, Victor and Marion Klein; and sister, Hazel Schevenmann.

A Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at St. Paul’s Congregational Church. Interment at Linn Grove Cemetery. Reception to follow at the church.
