

Woody was raised in Greeley, attending Greeley Central High School. He then attended San Bernadino State College. He worked in law enforcement for 20 years and then went on to retire from the Oilfield Industry. He served in the United States Navy as a Machinist Mate on a Destroyer from 1957 to 1961.
On June 4, 1960, he married Shirley Mae Eckhardt in Greeley.
Woody enjoyed woodworking and cars. He was a history enthusiast, particularly Military History. He also enjoyed dressing up as Santa Clause for the children and providing them with presents on Christmas. He came from nothing and made everything.
Woody was an honest man who loved his wife dearly and his family. He was well respected by anyone who met him.
Woody is survived by two daughters, Arlene K. (David) Corder and Annette K. (Don) Hopkins; two sons, LynWood Miller Jr. and Walter W. (Terri) Miller; two brothers, W.A. Miller and Jimmy Miller; three grandchildren, David Corder, Jr., Jeremiah J. Corder and Cody M. LeBlanc and best friend, Sadie Bear.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley M. Miller, his mother and father, one sister and two brothers.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
