Born and raised in Greeley, Colorado, Mack carried with him a deep connection to his roots and the values he learned early in life.
Mack began working as a young man on farms. He later became a truck driver and worked for multiple companies in the Colorado area throughout his career, earning respect through steady dedication and hard work.
Family was everything to Mack. He loved spending as much time with his family as he could. He especially enjoyed teasing and “fighting” with his youngest sister, Alva. He loved his mother with all his heart, spoiling her with gifts and the simple gift of quality time.
Mack loved baseball, Spanish music, and dancing. He also loved singing and playing his guitar, and he was a big Dallas Cowboys fan. These interests brought him joy and were often shared with those closest to him.
Mack is survived by grandson Devante Padilla; sisters Lynda Mata, Rose Mary Vargas, Mary Lou Ochoa, and Alva Padilla; brother Max Funez; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by daughter Lisa Marie Padilla; son Max Padilla Jr.; parents Maximo Padilla and Mary Martinez Padilla; brother Sam Mandez; and brother Sammy Joe Mandez.
