Margie I. Woods, formerly of Greeley, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Meadowview Manor in Bridgeport, West Virginia. She was born on September 23, 1924 in Comanche, Texas to George W. and L. Florence (Thacker) Barrick.
Margie was a member of Greeley Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed writing, painting, sewing and gardening.
Margie is survived by granddaughters, LaDawn Hanson of Greeley and Crystal Bast (John) of Salem, West Virginia; great-grandchildren, Kyle Bennett, Laura DeForest, Joshua DeForest and Breanna Hanson all of Greeley; and great-great-grandchildren, Kiera, Brynn and Lucas Bennet and Madelyn, Everleigh and Levi DeForest.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar O. Woods; daughter, Barbara Jan Johnson; parents, George and Florence; sister, Alice Gillam; and brothers, Grady and Glenn.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Linn Grove Cemetery.
