Surviving are her sons and daughters, staring with her two sons Luis Avitia and Jesus Avitia. Following by her six daughters, Lucina Flores, Marcelina Alvarado, Belen Navarrete, Socorro Avitia, Luz Avitia de Mota y Mercedes Quinones. Also loved by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She like to be around her family. She was loved by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents and daughter Amparo Garcia, she was predeceased by her husband Jose Avitia.
Mass of Christian Burial for Maria “Concha” Avitia will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 29,2020 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Platteville Co. Visitation will be at Stoddard Funeral Home on Monday, December 28, 2020 from 4-7 pm with the recitation of the rosary at 6 pm. Maria will be interred in Mexico, near her family home.
