Marian T. Baum

She attended a one room country School House during her first years of education. She then attended schools in Canajoharie, finishing with a GED. Her first job was working at a jewelry store, and then later worked as a waitress.

Marian met Charles Baum at the Canajoharie Theater, where he was an usher. They fell in love and were married April 4, 1953. Two years ago the children put on a 60th anniversary celebration for them.

After their marriage they continued to live in upper New York state. While their children were in school, she worked at two different Boy Scout Camps, as a staff cook, and then as camp cook. She later worked at the school cafeteria where their children attended school.

The family moved to Colorado and she attended the Colorado Keypunch School and became a data entry operator. She enjoyed trips she and Charles made to New Zealand, Holland, Norway, Scotland, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Central America, Mexico, Canada, many places throughout the United States.

She was a very active and dedicated member of the Rinn United Methodist Church, Frederick CO. She was a Past Matron of Eastern Star, Past Royal Matron of Amaranth and had served twice as a Grand Representative at Supreme Sessions.

Marian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; a daughter, Robin Janeway (Victor) of Greeley; two sons, Timothy Baum (Rose Clawson) of Fort Lupton and Kevin Baum (Lilly) of Brighton; four grandchildren, Christopher Baum, Kevin Smith, Eric Baum, and Jennifer Gregory; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Weaver Trumbull and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Baum.

Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Rinn United Methodist Church, 3783 County Road 20, Frederick CO. Private interment Sunset Memorial Gardens, Greeley.
