Marie Bessie McCloughan

Marie graduated Valedictorian from Mason City High School in Mason City, Nebraska.

She married her high school sweetheart, Ralph McCloughan, on March 12, 1935. They enjoyed 59 years of marriage before he passed away.

She is survived by her daughter Karen (McCloughan) Mueller, son-in-law Les Mueller of Broomfield, son Kent and daughter-in-law Elnora (*Province) of Loveland.

Marie was a homemaker and caregiver for her parents and father-in-law. After raising her two children she was the bookkeeper for their family business -- Best Oil in Broken Bow, Nebraska. In 1984, Marie and Ralph moved to Loveland, Colorado to be closer to their children.

Marie was active in many organizations which include Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Easter Star Chapter #164, Past Matron’s Club, Daughters of the Nile, E Mejdel Temple #47, Zuliema Club, PEO Chapter HP, First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

Most of all, Marie enjoyed cheering on her five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren in their sporting activities and spending time with her family.

Marie had a wonderful 100 years on this earth.

The services for Marie will be held at the United Methodist Church on Monday, February 13 at 10am with a reception immediately following at the church. Burial at Loveland Burial Park to follow.
